At Rosnad Foot Care we offer a variety of toe and finger nail cutting service, in the comfort of your own home. Amanda starts by cleaning the feet before proceeding to cut and file the nails to the correct shape and length. On demand, Amanda can use a foot cream containing urea to massage the feet or hands in order to improve circulation to hydrate skin and nails.

Foot Health Treatment

The foot health treatment includes the cutting/filing of nails, removal of callus hard skin and the removal of corns, verruca’s and in-growing toenails. Advice can be given by Amanda in relation to any other foot-health concerns.

CORNS & CALLUSES:

Corns Can Be Extremely Painful!

Feet corns and calluses are thickening of the skin on the feet that become painful.

They are caused by excessive pressure or friction (rubbing) on the skin.

Foot corns and Foot callouses can be reduced to be totally painless and advice can be given to prevent further reoccurrences.

“Enriching Health through Foot Care”

Calluses Are Not Usually Painful

The foot health treatment includes the cutting/filing of nails, removal of callus hard skin and the removal of corns, verruca’s and in-growing toenails. Advice is also given by Amanda in relation to any other foot-health concerns.

We strongly advise that you DO NOT try to cut the callus off by yourself.

A wrong technique can result in cuts and bacterial infection causing even more problems. If the callus is recurring, then further foot assessment will need to be put in place to help improve the problem. Please ask us to visit you for a complete review of treatment and removal.

My home treatment is purely medical. It may include diabetic assessment and other foot assessments if needed. We take great care to deliver the best possible treatment to get you up and walking normally again.

FUNGAL INFECTIONS:

FUNGAL INFECTIONS:

Athlete’s foot describes a fungal infection of the skin. Athlete’s foot is not necessarily harmful, but it can be uncomfortable, unsightly and embarrassing. The fungus can also spread, infecting nails and can transmit infections into the body.

At Rosnad Footcare we are able to help you treat and eliminate athlete’s foot.

Athlete’s foot (tinea pedis), is from the same pathogen which we know as ringworm.

It is a fungal infection of the skin. The infection is most commonly found in between the toes, however, athlete’s foot may appear on the sole of the foot as well.

What causes athlete's foot?

Despite the name athlete’s foot can affect anyone. Athlete’s foot is a fungal infection caused by a dermatophyte. The word dermatophyte is Greek for skin plant; it is a type of fungus that requires keratin (a protein found in the skin) to grow. Athlete’s foot spreads when feet are kept warm and moist leaving them susceptible to athlete’s foot, this is because these are the conditions which allow the fungus to thrive.

The typical signs of athlete’s foot may include:

Flaky skin / ‘Powdery’ looking skin / Itching / Burning sensation /
Red and itchy rash in between the toes / Blisters/pustules on the sole of the foot

Because athlete’s foot can be itchy, scratching the affected area may provide a portal for secondary bacterial infection.
